Natural body wash recipe with free printables labels for easy and cheap gift giving! Easy DIY recipe using essential oils, castile soap, and vegetable glycerin…
This year I was intent on making sure I use natural products to cut down on the chemicals that go into my body. I have been looking at recipes for a while, but just decided to make my own. Body wash can contain harmful ingredients such as:
- Fragrance- Have you ever noticed that the label hardly breaks down the source of these fragrances. This can be a blanket term for a set of chemicals. Fragrance; has been linked to allergies, asthma, and even headaches.
- Parabens– I have been reading a lot about parabens lately, and these things are bad news. This was the reason why I threw out all my lotions and switched to natural deodorant. Parabens can be linked to breast cancer because it mimics estrogen. Too much estrogen has also been known to induce early puberty.
- Phthalates- This is a chemical that can be found in toys, and many lotions and beauty products. This chemical is linked to endocrine disruption.
